So I'm about to sell my iPhone 5 and I noticed my 5C screen looks yellow next to it. It's really noticeable since iOS 7 uses a lot of white. Heading up to the Apple Store now to switch it out for another one.

just checked my 5c screen and everything is snow white - so definitely not normal

btw - you don't happen to have the yellow 5c do you

Lol.

Yeah I didn't notice it at first. But when I was going through my settings side by side to set it up I could notice the 5C was yellow compared to the crispness of my 5.

But I absolutely LOVE the 5C form factor.

Are they at the same brightness?

If you're looking at the stock background and it's a yellow iPhone 5c, then...well...that's not a problem with the phone or your vision...

Every freakin year!!! I always chalked it up to being a new, unused display. Next year your iP6 will be yellow compared to your 5s. Seriously.

Ok, there has been a yellow screen issue since the 4S, maybe even before..

It depends on the screen manufacturer and what assembly plant your phone was built. Apple uses different companies that manufacture the display.

My original 4S was super warm and yellow, when I had it swapped last fall, the new one had a very blue and cool screen.

It's the luck of the draw.

I turned up the brightness and everything. I go to the iMessages and the white background looks yellowish.

Such a pain, but one trip and hopefully it's fixed!

just curious. why sell your 5 ? isn't the 5 better than the 5C or it's just a new 5? why don't you just wait for the 6 or if you can get the 5S you might as well do that ?

I would trade my 5 for a 5C easy, prefer the form factor of the 5C over the software improvements of the 5s.

That's why I did it!

Traded it out and the screen is definitely cooler so I'm happy!
