Is anyone else having issues with their watch connecting to 5G? I have an Ultra 3, live in the US, and my phone can connect to 5G all over town. I have yet to have my watch connect to 5G although it can connect to LTE just fine. Has anyone else experienced this?

Yes on walk this morning I left my phone back, cell coverage in city is strong, service on watch kept cutting in and out and trying to go to satellite. Hope this is a software fixable issue.

The U3 uses 5G RedCap, so if your carrier supports that it’ll work. If not then it won’t pick up 5G.

I’m super bummed. I use cellular a lot (often without my phone) and was excited about 5g. Definitely not working on att and I sent back my old ultra yesterday.

Open the control center and your cellular icon will turn green when connected. It will also change from the antenna icon to showing either “LTE” or “5G”.
On At&T I haven't seen it change from the antenna icon, will keep an eye on it.

ATT has this on their site, it's a wearable plan that includes 5g supposedly. It won't let me change my unlimited plan to it. It is also the same price.

Guys. Curious. Your watches that show 5G. Are they on a standalone plan or are they connected to your iPhone with the same #? [Digits]

EDIT:

the ATT Unlimited Wearable supposedly has 5G access, no need to change, I will dig more when I have time, because my watch as yet to connect to 5G in areas I know have 5G and my phone is on 5G...

It looks like for ATT in the US you have to change wearable plan to one that has 5G, in process of doing this now. It would not let me do it on my own, chatting with ATT now...

Let us know. Same boat here. Line of site of three towers no 5g

Yes that’s what they told me as well, unlimited has 5G, will check next time out and about and see if I can get it to connect…
