iPod 5g iPod Update?

Got a 3g nano love it. But I have an original 5g ipod and was wondering if there will be a firmware update soon. Iam not expecting anything big, but would be cool to have a few more features that the new ones have or maybe a few battery tweaks. What I want at least is the search function that 5.5g ipods got. Just some thoughts

New features are almost certainly not gonna happen. I doubt it'll have another firmware update unless they feel it needs a stability fix.

The 5G iPod is dead to Steve. If you want more features buy a 6G. Honestly I'm regretting I sold my 5G. It's a speed demon compare to the laggy 6G. More features are not always a good thing.

Oh Well. I love my 5g and will keep it till it dies(hard drive). Just hoping for a little love from big daddy Steve. But the new kid just fell into my hands(3g Nano) and is taking the spotlight. But the 5g will remain king in my book.
