ok now i know you can hook it up to the tv using an svid cable

so i was wondinerg if i copied a dvd to my ipod, but not at the ipods resolution (600X480 is it?) and did it to say 1280X858 or whatever my tv, would it still play on my tv at that res even though i couldnt watch it on my ipods screen? or does it have to be 600x480 to play on the tv too?

iPod resolution is 320x240. You need to reduce it down to that size... Sorry to be the bad news messenger here. No matter what you did to the video, it would also play it out at 320x240, which is about the resolution of a video tape.

According to iLounge.com, it's not bad, but not the greatest. I guess it depends how close you are to your TV.
