So I’ve noticed that my 5G speeds on my new 12 pro are (literally) half the speed with a case on the phone, than without a case. Any ideas on why a case would affect things this much? Something to do with the antennae being covered up?

No issues with using the apple case. I did notice there's a huge difference with every speedtest on 5G. I changed from 5G auto to 5G on and the results were a little more consistent but still up to 20 mbps difference between test without changing anything. The fastest result I got was 66 with the case on.
This is on a regular 12.

I wouldn’t waste time doing speed tests over and over. Use the phone as you normally would and see what happens over the course of the next 12 - 13 days. That is the real test for the phone.

Agree with that, it’s just find it interesting that in my house the 5G download speed shoots up by 50% without a case. Wondered what the reason was. The antennae being covered up by the case seems the most likely reason.
