Hey! I recently purchased the iPhone 13 Pro and I had the iPhone 12 Pro before that, which I gave to my wife. We have T-Mobile and the 5G speeds on my iPhone 12 Pro were insane. I recently did a couple speed tests on the 13 Pro and I wasn’t getting any more than 25Mbps. When I switched over to LTE I’m getting close to 200Mbps. Tested my wife’s iPhone 12 Pro to see if it was the area 5G coverage and she’s getting over 400Mbps!

I wanted to come here first and ask if anyone else is having the same issues. Not sure if this might be isolated to the iPhone 13 Pro that may just need an update.

Sims better than esims?

Depends on your use case. I had eSIM on the new iPhone since Friday. Drove around to test it at my frequent places but speed doesn’t hold up to my previous 12 PM on SIM. Switched back to SIM yesterday. SIM is better for me but you always test it to see for yourself.

Idk bout y’all but that new 5G UC T-Mobile got going seems much faster.
A lot of people are leaving Verizon and going to T-Mobile because the speeds are so much faster and reliable service. Att seems to be lacking i hope they step it up

I've noticed something similar, though not in comparison to an iPhone 12. I use SpeedTest and don't like to use the "default" site, which is typically "T-Mobile." Instead, I typically manually select the closest location. I have an Android phone which got 358 down and 42.6 up, but that was using the T-Mobile test site; a follow up test gave 285 down and 42.5 up on the closest site. My iPhone 13 got 74 down and 84.3 up, from T-Mobile's test site; and a second test got 20.2 down and 33.5 up on the closest site.

That is a huge difference between the two phones and appears to indicate there is some type of issue with 5G.
