iPod 5g wont stop restarting!

i just got this thing this morning and i just unplugged it (safely by stopping it in windows USB manager) and it wont stop restarting and each time it restarts it clicks, i can feel it w/ my hand and hear it... any idear? should i just take it to the store asap

i have been holding down menu and select to reset the ipod but that doesnt work

Yeah, take it back because it's new. For the record, a clicking hard drive means it's failing however I'm not sure that's what's causing the clicking here.

Yeah I've mine likes to restart a lot too. However, not as much as yours does. I would take it back and just get a new one.
