5row keyboard - am I the only one

Going bonkers without my 5row keyboard and I can't find a working alternative in iOS 5. I've tried the iKey3, it doesn't do anything either even though both of them install fine, they are ineffective. I wonder what is so difficult about the new keyboard in iOS 5.. I really really need my 5row qwerty back!!1:p

You're not the only one, I miss it as hell! I contacted the develoepr and he's saying he's working on it, but god knows when he's going to release.
 
Same here with the looking forward to.

And the damn dev doesn't seem to have a twitter account. No tweets on the progress or the lack thereof!

I Googled, no love, either.

I believe it is a paid tweak. Don't know how much I paid, however.
 
The tweak is 99 cents.

For me, the complete win was ShowCase + 5-Row keyboard. But I just got a iPhone 4 with iOS 5, and there's no going back...sigh.

No doubt@great apps! I'd pay for an upgrade again without a doubt.. it's just plain clunky and inefficient to be stuck with this Apple default keyboard.:(

I really miss not having 5 rowsquerty, mainly for the arrow keys. The last attempt at a 5 row keyboard did not have the arrows.
Actually there was some sort of programming difficult to do this, per the last the developer.

There are three kinds of 5-Row keyboard, the two others with special characters. Very useful for typing in passwords if you have a mix of letters and numbers, for instance. Having to switch back and forth drives me crazy. And ShowCase is pure awesomeness. Very glad to see Apple incorporate features of Wi-Fi Sync, Synchronity, and Xpandr into iOS 5, but missing these two tweaks a lot.

Did not visit the compressed link but I did search the term in google images and keyboards with numbers on top and other characters are just genius. Surprised Apple haven't adapted this to their standard keyboard.

That pic alone will not give the poster/questioner a sufficient idea of how good the 5-row keyboard is. He will have to try it to know it.

Haven't tried it on an iPhone, but on an iPad, man, it beats the hell out of the default Apple keyboard!

It made my typing SOOOOO much faster!

Seriously, why can't Apple pick up the idea of a 5-row keyboard--or many of the excellent tweaks found in Cydia??????????????

I don't get it!
 
I waited to update to iOS5 until a couple of weeks ago when Absinthe came out. I specifically did not want to endure life without a 5 row keyboard on my iPad. It never ocurred to me that the app wouldn't be updated. Now I kick myself daily.:(

That tweak alone seems to be enough of a reason to jailbreak alone LOL

Hey you know there is answer.. I had to pay for a different app but iKeyEx will get you there.. customizable keys and works with showcase as well. Been using it for months but forgot about this thread, lol.:eek:;)

ikeyex? Can you use color keyboard with it?
 
I'm missing the 5 row keyboard too, I upgraded to 5.0.1 thinking everything in the jailbreaking scene was up too date, well most of the basic apps like this and sbsettings, bitesms....
 
yeah, forme its not compatible either! I go an Ipad
Is there any solution yet? I need a 5 row keyboard, the strd keyboard sux big time :(
 
iKeyWi sucks to the core! It makes the keyboard lag...across the phone!! Couldn't bear the lag for more than couple of hrs :!
