5s and iOS 7

Have apple said the 5s will ship with ios7 ?

Curious as they will be starting mass production later this month and ios7 is still in beta.

That either suggests it will come with ios6 or the software team is hoping to have a final release in the next 4 weeks before the boxes are sealed.

Plenty of time. I am betting it will come with iOS7. It will be one of the few features that will help sell the phone.

Yes, Apple historically coincide iOS releases with new hardware. To the best of my knowledge, they've never released a new phone without bundling it with a new iOS. I'd bet all my Apple stock that the 5S will not ship with iOS 6.

However, I don't own any Apple stock, so I guess I'm not putting much on the line.
