5S can't restore from backup because backup is corrupt or not compatible

I'm trying to restore from a backup of my iPhone 5. I have several backups, some on iOS 6, some on iOS 7, but none of them are working. I keep getting the same error that they're corrupt or not compatible with the phone. I tried reinstalling iTunes and reseting the phone, but it didn't work.

i had the same issue I think it depends on which ios6 version u r using mine was 6.1.2 didnt work were you jailbroken for those backups? i had a JB 6.1.2... if u had backups on ios7... but did not work that could be something else...
