Is it just my imagination or was there an icon in the top next to the battery percentage with a line through it when you slide the mute button on the side of the phone, so you knew it was on mute.

Is it just since the update that has now gone and you wouldn't know if it's on or off, or have I imagined it all and it was never there?

I've only ever seen it there on jailbroken devices running a certain tweak(I don't remember which one).

Yes. Must've been my iphone 4 then. Was definitely in status bar. And not jail broken just standard. Must've not noticed it had been removed in past iOS updates?

iOS has never had a mute icon on the status bar. Only if you were jailbroken.

Where did I imagine the bell with the line through it? Must've been on iphone

As other users have said, it's never been part of stock iOS, ever. Only if jailbroken. Either you were jailbroken or never had it and are only imagining it.

I imagined it. Never had a JB iphone. Thanks for clearing up guys. I did think I was going mad!
