5s Mute Switch Issue

Today, out of the blue, my iPhone 5s mute switch has become dramatically more difficult to actually switch between the two modes.

Usually I grip it with my left hand , like I'm making a call, to mute it the phone. Now that grip isn't even practical. I compared my phone to another 5s and the other one is easy as I remember.

Any fix? Is this a known issue? Should I schedule a genius bar appointment?

Should I schedule a genius bar appointment?

Yes. There is something mechanically wrong if it is suddenly much more difficult to switch.
