Hello,

I have a 32GB 5S and battery life is awful and the phone is slow.

I was really hoping for SE refresh (or at least price cut).

Am I crazy for wanting a SE?

I have a good car dock (proclip / brodit) which would cost about $70 to replace. My car is older and does not have BT as audio input.
I also have a dock/charger at work and home which would need to be replaced.
I also have a phone belt clip pouch (have been wearing smart phones this way since first smart phone) lol.

I have used 3d touch for only a few moments with friends phone and perhaps I would be missing it.
What I would be missing is the stability control when taking videos.

All of the phones with the round edges feel flimsy/easy to drop. I do not want a case for the phone.
If I'm not using it in hand or in car dock then it's in the belt clip pouch.
Lastly 5S/SE is just the size for me. I can type one hand etc. I also have an iPad Mini if I want to have something larger yet portable.

What do I do?
SE or 8?

go for the 8 .. it is water resistant and has fast charging ...

I would only say get the SE if you are low on budget . but thats it.

I went from the 6 to the SE, and it wasn't about money. I can't stand the larger footprint of the newer phones.

I always forget about 3D Touch and I can't say it has revolutionised the way many people use their phones, thus I would say the SE is the way to go. It's the right size, a spec jump from what you've had previously and almost half the price of the latest iPhone 8.

I'm actually considering going to the SE from an iPhone 7 once I receive my iPP.

I have T-Mobile.
I also have a T-Mobile iPad Mini, which is portable enough and great on the go.

Is the camera in the SE the same 12 megapixel as in the 8?
Does the 8 not have the anti shake for both cameras? I think this is a step backwards.

My fear is not being able to have a good grip of the newer (rounder larger phones).

If you're not picky about color and capacity, you can get the iPhone SE 32GB for $130-250 depending on carrier.

Mind, the iPhone SE did receive a minor $50 price cut.

rui no onna,

Thanks for the info. I know I should have taken screen shots of Apple Store prior to it closing (to compare prices).
If I go with another carrier phone, it's locked into that and I would need to be a customer for 12 months I think.
