5s- turn off passcode AND fingerprint?

I've just ordered my 5s, but i was wondering if you can turn off the pascode lock AND the fingerprint sensor? I don't use a passcode and im not fussed about using the sensor. I also always use a screen cover , would this affect the sensor if i had to use it and couldnt turn it off?

You do not need to use the passcode or fingerprint if you do not want to.

Perhaps they want the extra speed, better camera, 64GB storage, gold color, etc...

There is much more to the 5S than just the fingerprint sensor.

Yes, im getting it for the speed and also because ive managed to get one for a decent price. I wasnt going to get one, but its the only phone im likely to upgrade to from my 5, so when i saw one for a decent price, i thought what the heck! May as well go for it as ill only be thinking about getting one for as long as i dont have one!

Yea, because the scanner is the ONLY thing different between the 5 and 5S.

I don't buy a new phone every year, but even I know there are more improvements beyond just the sensor.
