Very strange. My son's iPhone 5S updated to IOS11.
He's just a little kid, he isn't part of a developer program or anything and he doesn't have rights to install anything without coming to me first. Most odd.
Anyway, for what it's worth, it seems to run perfectly. Completely fluid, no speed hit.
A few apps have stopped working- as you would expect. There's the 'files' app but he doesn't have anything to use it with. There's a 'feedback' app.
The control centre when you slide up has changed and the calculator app has a new icon but apart from that, so far on this old phone at least, ì can't see anything different.
But it's clearly going to work perfectly for anyone that's worried.
Cheers

I have no idea how he would have access to iOS 11 if he was not in the beta program. Can you post a screenshot of what version the 5s currently has? To access this information (General-Settings-About-Scroll down).

Strange. Perhaps another forum member has knowledge on how he would have access to this without a beta.
Hi
In fact my son says his best friend- also on 5S, has also updated to 11. We live in France.
Definitely not in a beta program. I reset the phone when I gave it to him.
Thanks for the interest but it looks like it's something official.
If we have any problems I will let you know.

You can install the Beta Profile online, unless you’ve restricted the phone. He could have installed it and then removed it after. There’s no chance it was unintended as there would be more forum reports, this is the only one I’ve seen

There are links posted online for the Beta Profile that allows you to be a part of the Beta Program. Technically anyone can do it.
