Hi everyone,

I have been offered an iPod Classic 5th Gen, that is boxed an unused, the seller is refusing to open and test the iPod for me, as he feels I may turn down the sale and he can no longer sell it for a higher price. He has mentioned he is unsure of the battery life since it was released 2006?

In general do iPod 5th gen battery last a long while, if the iPod has never been turned on the battery should still be fine right?

Thanks.

Batteries can be replaced

it will still underwhelm you.

a brand new ipod 5 would have a music playback time of only 14 hours.
compare that to your iphone 5 with 24 hours of playback time, you will always feel like the battery is messed up.

My Mini gets me 19 hours. That should be more than enough.
