I am thinking of selling off my iPhone due to money troubles and so may get the 5th gen iPod touch make payments from sears or walmart so my question is what is missing from the current touch that the iphone 5 has?

Ipod touch 5 use same chip as iphone 4S but rear camera is only 5MP, front camera is same as IPhone 5 at 1.2 MP. Screen is exactly same. Ram is half as much.

Heres a list of iPod Touch 5 components and in what model of iPhone you'll find them in:

Display: iPhone 5 (4" 640 × 1,136 Retina IPS)
Connection: iPhone 5 (Lightning)
Processor: iPhone 4S (Apple A5)
Memory: iPhone 4S (512 MB)
Camera: iPhone 4 (5 megapixel)

Not in the iPod Touch 5:
Compass
Ambient Light Sensor
Phone Capabilities (Obviously)
GPS
3G/4G

The camera is sort of a hybrid between the 4, 4S, and 5. It's 5 MP like the 4, but it has 1080p video and panorama like the 4S. The front camera takes 720p video like the 5.

It's also missing the GPS.

yes, i think camera aperture is f/2.4 which is better than f/2.8 in Iphone 4 dispite the same MP.

Front camera is crazy good.

So lack of GPS means the iPod Touch 5th generation is unable to do Turn-by-Turn navigation in Apple Maps?
