Hello everyone,

Hopefully someone will be able to give me some advice on this. My mother has an ipod touch 5th generation and there was a problem with the headphone jack not working so my dad looked online and found a fix where you take off the screen and tighten the screws over the headphone jack, he did this and after the ipod would not work at all it would not come on again. I took a look at it today, power cycled it and hooked it up to my pc and did a factory reset i.e I restored by DFU. The hard drive in the device along with the software all seem to work fine as I can add music and play it from the device via the pc when it is connected via usb but the screen is still totally blank. The backlight lcd works but the interface doesn't show at all. It worked fine until my father opened the device. Any ideas of what might have happened here and if it could be fixed?
