D danb77 macrumors 6502 Sep 4, 2007 442 3 Sep 11, 2013 #3 I tried to upgrade from 6.1.2 to 7.0 and got an activation error. No big deal, I just restored to 7.0 and all was well. YMMV, so do try the upgrade route, but *make sure you have a backup* in case that route fails.
