Been going back and forth on this all week and thought it'd be interesting to canvass some opinions. Sometimes I see pics of guys with 42mm and think it looks great, then I see pics of the 42mm and it looks like some ridiculously oversized penis extension.

I'll get the 42mm this weekend so will know then for sure how comfortable I am with it, but there's a risk I'll just get my hands on it and justify it, so wanted to post this before then.

Be as frank as you like, I'm looking for the watch to look tasteful and proportionate. Would prefer the 42mm for the battery life and larger screen.

Pics dont show ****. Look around you at people wearing them and you will see how 9 times out of 10 the 42mm looks stupid. Look at it from a distance on someones arm aswell, like when they walk into a room. Its all about angles. The photos are of people trying their best to angle it to get that one shot, that one angle where it looks ok.

This video messed me up. Shows a guy wearing 42 and 38, he has smallish wrists, maybe 7inch? But he thinks the 38mm is too small. At first I thought no, it's perfect, but then compared to the 42 beside it, then 38mm does start to look small!

Some trick of perception I guess..

I think the Apple Watch is utility first, style second. You wear it because it provides a wealth of information. As such, having a larger screen is more advantageous than a smaller one. I have the 42mm on my 6.75 inch wrist and I think it's perfect. But my wife, who has tiny wrists, also has the 42mm, because she wants the biggest screen for the best experience.

My vote: go for the 42mm.

To give you a prospective, here is how each size look on my 6 inches wrist:
