i have a 6 right now and can't get through a whole day without some small amount of recharge and to even get there my screens brightness is about 30% (I use my phone for calling messaging and internet all day long for work)

With the plus sized phones, can you get through a whole day of heavy use WITH the LCD much closer to 66-75%?

Impossible for anyone to answer that for you but the battery life is much better on plus. You have to give it a go to know for sure.

I don’t know your exact usage but I’m fairly confident giving a “yes” answer here.

The 5.5” phone batteries are leaps and bounds better than the 4.7” phone batteries.

It's not that they are better, it's simply that they are larger and thus would hold more energy.

Plus has MUCH better battery life. Went from the 6 to the 6s+ a while back and I was pleasantly surprised. That all changed on iOS 11 though.

8+ on iOS 11 seems to be the same as the 6s+ on 10.3.3

Well, I'm thinking of a 7+, so maybe I just keep that on 10.3.3!

The 7+ has the worst battery out of all the Plus models on their release version of iOS... If you're going to invest in a 7+ then just go with the 8+ to be sure you get the best experience on iOS 11. Once iOS 12 drops, block the update and keep it on 11 if you want it to last you.

I have a 6S Plus and know someone who has a 6S... In it's prime (it's 2 years old now so the battery is degraded) I could get 12+ hours of usage in battery stats. The 6S would get about 5-6 hours. So that pretty much sums it up.

I am pretty sure the 7+ ships with IOS 10 and not 11??

The 6 to the 7+ would be a huge jump. I’d say go for it!

The 7+ would still have a lot better battery life than his 6. I do agree splurging for the 8 would be more future proof but if wireless charging isn’t a big deal I’d go 7+

Even on 10 it still has the worst battery of all the Plus models. Also, if it was made after 11 came out it could possibly ship with 11. It's a 50/50 shot and for the difference in price I'd rather go with the better phone which is the 8+

No doubt it's a huge jump. But the best experience is to be had on the 8+, especially for the small price difference. It's worth it just for the performance bump.
