Can I out put 6 or 8 channel PCM from my MacBook Pro 13" (2010 model) via Minidisplay port? I thought this was possible...I know I can't bitstream DTS-MA or Dolby TrueHD (though I can bitstream the DTS lossy core and bitstream down mixed 2ch TrueHD as PCM). I use VLC BTW. With Handbrakes newest update I can convert DTS-MA, DTS-High Res, TrueHD, etc. to FLAC into an Mkv....I want to get multichannel PCM output to my HDMI receiver that I know can receive 8ch L-PCM, TrueHD, Master Audio, etc.... I could have sworn multichannel PCM output was possible with the MacBook via mini display HDMI.....

No one? Side note I'm looking for the best way to get 7.1 from my MacBook Pro and the best I can do is compress 7.1 PCM sources to DTS-ES Discrete 6.1 which is pretty good.
