Is it true the 6s has much better LTE than the 6? I currently own the iPhone 6 and coverage is spotty on tmobile. Would the 6S make any difference on my carrier far as LTE and coverage?

Yes, the 6s support more LTE bands, specifically band 12 which is one of T-Mobile's main bands.
