I checked the serial number and it doesn't fall into the recall and its out of warranty. Does Apple fix this and what would they charge? Lesson learned, get Apple Care if you plan to keep longer than one year.

1. Which camera is it?
2. Have you tried factory resetting it?
3. Have you tried the steps here?
4. Have you tried another camera app?

Also here is the information about repairs.

I'd still, take it In even if it doesn't focus at all. I'm sure they will just replace it no cost. I had a coworker that had this happen, was not qualified for the program but they replaced her phone free of charge even tho warranty expires as they were able to reproduce the issue.

All phones start to lose focus over time and prolonged use. Think of it as normal wear. Push finger onto screen and focus you shall. Now auto focus this wears out over time and doing many videos and pictures. Your phone is normal, you got a good one. Be thankful

Well that sucks :( Any idea of how long the autofocus normally lasts? I love taking photos and my iPhone camera is better than my actual camera
