So for the past month or so my iPhone has been doing something weird. When ever I open the camera app or any app that uses the camera for that matter, the camera makes a weird mechanical noise. I know its the camera because I've put my ear up to it. It only does it for the first second or two when the camera activates. When it does it the view on the screen is like someone is shaking the camera really bad. I suspect that its something to do with the optical image stabilization. Im aware of the recall but my phones serial number isn't once thats reported. Is there a chance that maybe thats the issue and I have a rare one thats affected but not under the recall? I don't know how much it would cost as the phone is now out of warranty and there is a small crack on the screen that I would have to get fixed before they fix it. I want to update to the new 7+ but still owe about $350 in payments to Verizon. However, if the cost of the repair is going to be almost or more than the cost to payoff and upgrade to a newer phone, then thats the path ill probably take. Any advice or ideas?
