Here's an S5 on top of a 6+ case on top of an iPad Air.

I notice that the iphone is still narrow. Now I remember why I went to a Galaxy Note 3, the screen is too narrow. The 6 + screen is narrower than a S5. I so want to come back to an iPhone, but not sure that I will.

6+ is narrow and thin for it's size and that's why it will be easier to hold than most people think.

thanks op I think the iPhone 6 plus might be close to the htc m8 size which is not bad at all.

The 6 Plus has a 16:9 screen ratio, the same as galaxy s5 and note 4. I don't know what you're talking about. (And it has a bigger screen than s5, which also makes its display wider)

Wow, thanks for this OP. Really puts things in perspective. I don't think I'm going to like the 6 Plus to be honest. It's just too stinking big!

No, I don't think the screen is narrower than an S5. The S5 wallows around quite a bit from side to side and the 6+ doesn't have side bezels THAT wide.

The S5 in a slim case -- removed for the photo -- was still very close to fitting into the 6+'s case.

Both phones are 16:9. 6+ has a screen that is .4" bigger so obviously the S5 would have the more narrow screen and body.

The only issue people are going to have with the 6+ is that it is an extremely tall device and if it isn't put in a case (making it even larger), it will be a slippery SOB to hang on to.
