Hay guys
Just need some insight for anyone who has done live streaming to youtube/picardo with a new mini. My plan is around Black Friday to pick up a 6 core i5 mini and do some live streaming with ExtremeCap UVC - BU110 connector to my new Canon camcorder.
Im on budget and not looking to stream every day, just something for my channel once in a while when I can do some paint work on statues for a hour or so on a weekend. Plus my old base model 2011 Mac mini is just on its last leg in the studio and all I used that for was looking pictures online sending updates to clients and watching movies/youtube/music. it was more of just a media hub for the work I do without spending tons of cash. I got the good Macs in the office for graphic work and video editing.
I know this is a different kind of question, but the idea is to hide the mini from any paint or chemicals as I redo my studio setup, get a new cheap open box monitor (since my old dell looks like a crayon box now) and keep using those cheap key boards and mice since I get all kinds of sculpting material on my hands and go thru them a few times a year.
Or would it be better to get a low end iMac (or a 2017 model thats being sold for same prices) for streaming? but the issue Is being a all in one if I ruin the screen or have to hide it far from the desk I prob wouldn't be able to see it and be close to the work desk and airbrush booth.
Side note I know a cheap PC would prob be the best option but I been a Mac user since power PC/G3 so I just can't go to PC.
thanks for any insights on if the mini is a viable option for my situation.
This is my set up now, just want to do more with my business.
