I watched the MFI controller market with interest at first, but I've assumed since the iPhone 5 came out that the 6 would be bigger. Now that I have my 6+ I want a controller! Anyone seen anything about a new generation of these? I did a search, but only found old articles about the first wave not being very good. The 6+ and a controller case will make for an awesome mobile gaming system, so I hope MFI controllers aren't dead.

Personally I preordered the mad catz but it'll barely hold my i6+ without a case but personally i like thumb sticks and the D-pad more than the moga's. The moga has more holding space but that $80 scares me off. The hori horipad uses a stand to hold your idevice.

Thanks! It seems I was using the wrong search term "mfi controller". Tried "iphone 6 controller" and got better results. I am kind of hoping for a case controller, but I'll check these out.

I would recommend the SteelSeries Stratus. Its very portable and feels great to use.

Not to mention much better looking than that thing above.

That does look like an awesome controller. Am very tempted :)

Bumping this as I've been waiting on an MFI controller that had the same layout as the Xbox controllers. Looks like my options are the Moga Rebel and Madcatz CTRLi.

Aside from the price, any reason one is better than the other? I'd be using it with a 6+ and iPad Air 2.

Is there any cross-compatibility between an MFI controller for ios and a bluetooth controller for a mac? I would love to have 1 controller for both.

Recommedation: SteelSeries Stratus.

I will definitely recommend the SteelSeries Stratus for iOS gaming.
This MFI controller fits very well, and very comfy to use. If your´e an owner of Apple TV, you can screen-share and then you´ll be able to play via. your TV. That´s fun! :):)

Check out the Stratus before you buy. Those with large hands might find this unusable. Mine are small, so it works for me, but the controller in general is definitely on the small side.

AirPlay is good but if you use lightning to digital AV adapter it will run buttery smooth and the graphics will look like console Quality. Try Asphalt 8 with a controller. That's what I do
