Is it just me that hate the location of the power hutton on the iPhone 6 Plus? It is so annoying that every time I try to press it I also hit the volume buttons on the phone? Why dis they have to move the power hutton from the top of the phone to the side?

It took a day to get used to it but it is a non-issue now. I even like it on the side, maybe they could have lowered it a bit so it was not opposite the volume buttons but I got used to that quickly and it is not a problem.
You will need to adapt.
You must be extremely late to the party because there are many threads on this already. The short answer is you'll get used to it.
The new placement is the lesser of two evils because otherwise we'd get a flurry of threads complaining on how difficult it is to reach the top especially on the 6+.

You would have had the same issue if you got an iPhone 6 since the power button is also located on the side
Worse on the i6 because it's lower and gets in the way.
