6 Plus Trouble :( Likely an easy fix though!

Hey guys, I got my 6+ today. However, when I turn the phone horizontal (landscape), the icons do not turn as the phone was advertised. In my mail application, the phone does not have the split screen either. Surely there is some "General" setting feature I need to tweak? I cannot find the answer to this problem.

It doesn't do it if you set it at zoom instead of standard

Settings > Display & Brightness > Display Zoom > Standard

Settings - Display & Brightness - View - Zoom or Standard. Zoom doesn't allow a lot of the horiztal features.
