I bought a kodak Zx1 camcorder that shoots 720p 60fps video. I shot a few clips (at 720p 60 fps) and when I tried to import them to final cut express 4 it doesn't work. The error message I get is:

File Error: 1 file(s) recognized, 0 access denied, 1 unknown.

Then I shot some video at 30fps 720p and then the video did import. I need to use 60fps since I shoot skateboarding video and I use slo-mo. I looked around google and mac rumors and could not find an answer...

What's wrong? Why does it not work?

Are you importing the files straight from the camera? Or are you using the "Log and Transfer" option?

Using the Log and Transfer FCE will "convert" them to the Apple Intermediate Codec" and you will be able to use your footage.

Cheers

Download MPEG StreamClip which is free. Convert them to AIC (59.94 fps, 100% quality) and they will work fine.
