When I turn 60 is it worth renting a one screen movie theater to watch one of my favorite films on the big screen ?

I know only I can decide for sure but curious what you all think.

I’ve looked into this before, it’s not overly pricey it’s about $200 to rent a screen.

I think it’s a great idea for a birthday party. Most theaters that provide it include admission for some number of people like 20. The big question is, Which movie?

Worth is subjective.

If you feel that's a good use of your money, go for it. What difference is there for doing then just watching your favorite films at home with the shades drawn and the lights off?

My loCal
Movie theater, at least during Covid did this at $99 for 3 hours, play any movie so long as you brought the disc in and for up to 5 ppl.

Most people would bring their PlayStation or Xbox and game online for those 3 hours.

Seems like fun.
