Here's my DellInTosh. It's not much of a computer but it plays my C&C games well. I hope to upgrade it sometime down the line with a new logicboard and a C2D or C2Q CPU along with the other goodies to bring it into the 21st century. I have it hooked up to the stock speaker and power button with 2 color LED. I don't have the HDD activity LED hooked up yet because I don't know where I can install it and make it look like it was there to begin with. It's very quiet and runs very well. Also the stock PSU was rather irregular as it and the optical drive both won't fit so it just sits on that top shelf. Turns out I had another Dell PSU that fit perfectly but it was dead :(, figures.

Specs:
Quicksilver Case
Dell GX150 guts
Pentium 3 1ghz 512mb 20gb
No optical drive

Cool! You won't even violate Apple's EULA with this baby - after all, this is a "Apple-labeled computer"! Ha! :D

I would call it the Red DELLicious.

Like the actual edible red delicious apple, it looks awesome on the outside, but when you taste it...not much substance on the inside.

The panel on the back looks pretty clean. Nice work. Would be even more interesting if you can get OS X on that, though I doubt it would be worth the effort.

Wow I now I am thinking about gutting my G3 case and putting intel inside.

Hackintosh of course and yes I will buy a copy of OS X.

How hard is this to do? Will a standard PC Motherboard even fit in the same place as a Logic Board?

Awesome btw.

interesting location of the optiplex psu (that's what that is, right? couldn't use the g4's psu?)
.. with cord, and loooooong molex wires... is it about 140w? seems like now the case fan has to carryoff the psu's heat (psu fan doesn't exit out case's back grille).
i guess u can't fit a cd or zip drive in the front bays? (or maybe the zip drive off center would fit)

just noticed (dusty) fan in the floor. it looks like it came out of a normal size psu...

at least you can use a regular ps/2 keyboard and mouse with that.

now you need to upgrade that vinyl :)

Here's the finished pictures with everything installed. I found another working PSU and just extended the wires to the motherboard connection. I connected the internal side case fan up and added in a old Creative 52x CD-Rom drive. Everything works great and is super quiet. Pictures below. You can also see the green-lit power button indicating power. If you noticed, I did remove the floppy disc connector on the motherboard as it was slightly hitting the optical drive.

**added**
I added the HDD activity LED under the power button switch(reset switch). It's not very bright but you can see it with the lights dimmed. I might have to dremel out that plastic switch a bit as I think it's just too thick.
