Does this have to be enabled by the user?

Does the iOS camera app record at 60fps itself or is it only for 3rd party apps?

Do current apps have to be made to use 60fps?

SloPro in App Store does 60fps on an iPhone 5. But it costs $4. Looks good!

So 60fps isn't an option with standard apple camera app. That's stupid as hell.

Ubersense claims that their updated app (for sport coaching video analysis) will automatically record at the highest frame rate possible on your phone. My iPhone 5 does 60 FPS in the SloPro app but only does 30 FPS in Apple's native app and in Ubersense (despite what Ubersense claims). Very frustrating. SloPro is free by the way. You only need to pay if you want to disable the watermark and export the videos.
