Hey guys, I am getting a 2G iPod Touch for Christmas and was just wondering what the best App for IM (Mainly MSN).

Thanks for any answers in advance.

Yea I'd like to know this as well. I remember hearing a few people recommend beejive which is $16 but what I'd like to know is what makes beejive worth the cost when comparing it to a cheaper IM app or a free one?

My son has Fring and IM+ lite (both free) installed on his touch. He uses IM+ lite more as you can use the horizontal keyboard plus he just thinks its easier to use.

my girlfriend has an iPod Touch (good girl eh!) and was using eBuddy, which i personaly hate. I did find a nice little website http://www.meebo.com/mobile/#FrontPage but would really like an App. I wonder if Microsoft will release a app soon (doubt because its apple) bur heres to hoping!

Before the App Store was released I always used Meebo -- now I lean more towards Fring, although I still find it a lot less reliable.

Pics?

Anyone post any screenshots of Fring/IM+Lite?
Would be very appreciated.

I tried a few of the free ones first and this one is easier to use and it looks better as well.

It also has the option to keeps you logged in after you close it for a period of time then when you open it again you get the messages you missed.

That is a nice feature. Anyone know if any other IM apps offer this. Not sure if its worth $16 but its definitely a nice feature to have.

That's a nice feature! i was going to ask if Fring and or IM+Lite keep you logged in. Say perhaps i wanted to look at something on safari... Any ideas?

[EDIT] My friend told me that IM+Lite dos not keep me logged in, any ideas about Fring?
