I am looking for a SDHC card reader for the express card slot of my MacBook Pro. I have a SD card reader but unfortunately it will not read SDHC cards. When a SD card is inserted into the express card reader that currently I have the SD card sits flush with the MacBook Pro. The ability for the SDHC card to sit flush is a requirement for the new card reader. Any help on locating a SDHC card reader would be greatly appreciated.

Just as one point of reference, my Belkin Media Reader-Writer ExpressCard Adapter reads SDHCs and sits flush by itself, but SD cards inserted into it protrude by 7 or 8 mm or so.

did you try googling first?

Yes I did, thanks for asking.

have you tried to update the firmware of your current reader ?

No. I didn't even think of that. The express card is a Sony VGP-MCA20. I will look into a firmware update.

[EDIT]A search on Sony's site and a short Google search did not yield any sort of firmware update.[/EDIT]

Yea that exactly what I am not looking for. Thanks for letting me know this though that way I know what not to buy.

Hmm... I though the Belkin card is limited to a maximum of 8gb?
Would it be possible to check for 32Gb compatibility? Cause I'd be interested.

Thanks.

They probably listed 8gb, as that was the largest size available at time of manufacture. my mobile broadband dongle listed 4gb max somewhere, but it takes 8gb fine.
