any new on such a thing? rumors? anything?

I asked for apple gift cards for the holidays because I can't buy until a 64 comes out. 32 is too small for me :/

So.. I'm just waiting. Maybe Macworld?

what do you store on a 64 gig for example?

i got an 8 gig which is ample for me (although, i dont have any movies stored)

Please do a search before starting new threads. There are countless threads dealing with the exact same topic. In fact, I just answered the exact same question yesterday.
In short, probably not anytime soon.

True... I can't seem to see a purpose to buy a 65gig mp3 player... I know that isn't any mp3 player, its an iPod, but c'mon, 64gig? Buy yourself a fancy 32gig one and enjoy it.

I ordered a 16gig one, but i don't even have 5gig in music (yes, blame me!), but it just didn't seem "ok" to buy an 8gig one, when i can afford the upper level... 😀

Oh, I certainly can.

Right now half of my 2nd gen 32G is taken up by about 80% of my CD collection. My entire CD collection is DWARVED by my album collection, which I am soon to be transferring to digital with a USB turntable. (and I even threw out 1/3 of my albums in a move a few years back).

I do not intend to move all of them to digital, but based on what I have seen so far I'd probably fill a 64G no problem. I'll probably use my 1st gen 32G for secondary albums, the 2nd gen for primary albums and my CDs.

Oh, and I forgot about my DAT tapes. Gotta pack them onto a Touch.

How about a 128G Touch? ;-)

Mike 🙂

None... As soon as 32GB Flash Chips come down in price, you'll see it.

My guess as far as Apple's memory plans...EVENTUALLY

iPod Touch- 32GB 64GB 72GB
iPod Nano- 16GB 32GB
iPhone- 16GB 32GB 64GB?? potentially

Just a guess...

You sir... You are a music nerd (no offense ofc).

Damm, i cant seem to be able to get even 15gbs of music.
But as i stated before, im just buying a 16gig, because, sooner or later the 8gig one will get discontinued.

8 gig? That gets me 4 movies and a hand full of music!

I can fill a 180 gig in one night.🙂

I use my touch to store movies and music, then stick it in my Doc to watch the movies or listen to some tunes.

I put 25 movies, 12 gig's of Podcast and music on my 32 gig. it maxed out the first day I had it.

I could use a 256 gig and be happy. But then blueray is 25 gig's a movie, so that kills that idea😉
