How often does Apple update their refurbished list for laptops. A couple of times I found the computer I wanted (during the day at work) only to find it has been removed 4 hours later. Is it possible to contact Apple by phone and purchase a refurbished item rather than wait for it to appear on the web page?

Thanks in advance.

Not sure where you are but certainly in the UK the refurb. list seems to be updated either overnight or very early in the morning so best time to check if first thing in a morning. This includes Saturdays as well.

Good luck on your search.

In the last week it seems like to refurbs have been really flying out the door. Only one listing for MacPro's and only two listings for iMacs. Your choices for MBP's is a little better at the moment...

Best to keep you eyes open and visit the refurb site early and often.

bought my first macbook from Apple store, second one from macmall, I won't buy from macmall again. Their mail-in rebate listed on their website the day I bought was different than what my sales guy sent to me (I ended up ordering over the phone). I still haven't received the rebate and also had some order verification and shipping issues. Won't make the same mistake twice.

Sorry to hear that. Thanks for the heads up.
