Hi,
Have been contemplating buying an ipad the 64g one as a bit extra from the 32 can get the extra storage. However, i heard that the 64g one is slower? Has anybody else found this? Do you recommend a 64g or a 32g?

That doesn't make sense, they use the same components except one has more space than the other.

As far as space goes its better to have too much than too little, also make sure you have growing space.

Thanks i thought so. They have the same ram so couldnt see why the 64g would be slower. Can't wait to get one now!

Why do people make up such idiotic lies? Is it just to try to scare people away from the iPad?

I think you mean Storage I/O speeds which if I remember correctly are slightly lower than 32gb. Shouldn't make a perceivable difference but may affect large sync and transfer speeds slightly.

This was the case at least with the iPhone.

A 64GB loaded to capacity might take longer to restore than a 32GB that was also loaded but thats about it.

Any only because there is more content.

If you compare a 16, 32, and 64GB models all loaded with the max content that the lowest 16GB can hold, they all run, sync and restore about the same.

Just half truths and FUD (fears uncertainty and doubt)

My 64GB New iPad is just as fast as the 32GB iPad that I exchanged it for.
