Once snow leopard is installed and you boot your mba for the first time what is the availible free space on the 64gb ssd? Thanks in advance

Sorry, but that's not actually helpful to the OP. You linked him to formatted space, not free space with the default install.

And you are correct.

did you take the default install options and install all the languages by default? you can also disable safe sleep and delete the save image to free up space equal to your ram.

The usable space on my 11" MBA when I booted it out of the box was just over 48GB.
