For the past few years, I’ve been using a Lenovo laptop at work which is powered by a USB IF Certified 65W USB C PD Charger. Could I use this to charge my new 16” MBP, or is it too underpowered? I’d rather not have to lug the Apple charger back and forth, and my work charger is zip-tied to other cables. I’m on and off the computer, with 3-4 hours screen time daily.

I us a 61 Watt Apple Charger (came with my M1 13MacBook Pro which I traded in). I use it on my new 16" MacBook Pro MAX 10/32/32/1Tb. Seems to work just fine. However, I use it only when the battery gets pretty low and mostly for overnight charging. So far I have not needed to use it while using the 16" and don't know how that would work out.

I use an Anker Nano II (65W) with my M1 Max and it works but it all depends on how hard you are running it. It will only charge when it is being lightly used like browsing, or watching videos.

So, I plugged in my MBP to the 65W charger when I was at 18%. For the next 2 or 2.5 hours, I sat through a (painful) Zoom faculty meeting while streaming a lengthy video training and surfing the Internet. At the end of the meeting and training, the machine was fully charged.
