I know this is a re-post of a reply I made but I think it deserves its own thread due to the fact that MANY people have this "buzzing" iMac problem and Google searches revealed no answers, just more people stating they have the same problem on many many other forums and threads.
So I set out to solve this problem because the buzzing was driving me insane

This solution may not be for every buzzing iMac problem, some may have bad power supplies and other unknown gremlins, but if you hear the buzz getting louder when your fans rev then it is definitely your fans.
If any brave DIY tech minded Intel iMac owner with this problem is brave enough to open up his iMac and remove the fan and take pics it would be very helpful because complaints of buzzy intel iMacs are starting to surface and just maybe these fans also have that annoying little clip.
