I plan to do that even just for the larger screen and awesome aesthetics. Just curious if anyone notices any speed/performance differences.

I haven't done that, but you will definitely notice a speed difference!
What are the specs of your MacBook and which 15" MacBook Pro were you going to get?

I'm sorry, I don't know the specs of the Santa Rosa MB.
Like, how many GHz's is the processor? Ram?

WOW. You will notice a HUGE increase in speed, performance, and stability.
I recommend not hesitating to get the MBP.:)

Sweet :cool::cool:

Which brings me to my next question. Why did they shorten "Command" to "Cmd"?

I'm not to sure.
Maybe they shortened the key.
Can you post a pic of a previous keyboard on an Apple laptop that has the full "command?"
Surely you won't skip out on a MBP just because it says "cmd" as oppose to "command."

Strange.
I just checked Apple's site and it displays it as a the full thing.
Where did you find that picture where it just says "cmd?"

Right here:

That's weird. Maybe the "cmd" ones were a mistake down at the site's graphic design department?

I upgraded from a white macbook to a new 2.53 unibody MBP. HUGE difference in performance and overall fit and finish. The new multi touch features on the unibody are reason enough to upgrade IMO. Enabling the "tap to click" preference makes the UI so smooth and effortless. The screen in leaps and bounds better than the white macbook's. When I use my old macbook, it feels like a toy compared to my new MBP. I would recommend the upgrade to anyone.

I cant agree with you more. I upgraded from a 2.4ghz penryn whitebook to a 2.4ghz Uni MBP. Upgraded originally to work in Final Cut Pro, and realized the trackpad was reason enough to upgrade.

I also upgraded from the 2.4ghz penryn white book to 2.4ghz unibody MBP and speed wise its roughly the same but graphic intensive apps work so much better and it just feels nicer than cheap plastic. Also the 15" screen seems so much better compared to the macbook, looking back at my old macbook the screen looks too small.
