I thought the same way too when I first got my macbook, but now I have come to actually really like the style of the "bleeding".

Well, if you look at my picture, you can see light coming from the sides around the keys. Some people prefer that only the letters/numbers and stuff light up. Most of us here love that the sides are lit too.

i don't like the bleed... but it's the way the keys are assembled... i have been fine without backlit keys... however i REALLY wanted it when i was shopping for the MacBook in my signature.

plus... the standard 320GB HD and 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo didn't hurt 🙂

i'm still happy - and if i were to upgrade, it'd be more of a downgrade to a MBA 😛 backlit keys AND sexiness
