24 Has aways used Macs on the set but with some foreign OS. But on last nights episode the fate of jack and the US was in the hands of a humble black MacBook running tiger and using iPhoto! I found the post and pictures here

Jack and 24 is that much more awesome to me.

I have never watched that show but always wanted to.
Is it the kinda show you can just start watching or will I be lost due to missing previous episodes/seasons?
Also, is every episode 24hrs or every season is 24hrs? (total time in the show)

If Jack has any hope of defeating terrorism, he needs to get his Blackbook on the Leopard gravy train.

He can monitor many more bad guy pictures utilizing Spaces. :p

So true.. And yes you would get super lost if you just jump in... Get the DVDs from your library and then catch up on hulu

Each show takes place in a 24 hour timeframe and yes. It's one of those shows where you need to know what's been going on over the past seasons to get a full grasp.

But it's never too late to start!!

gawd. I never thought I'd suggest anything from FOX.

I thought that each season was a 24-hour period and each episode was a single hour in that time frame.

Thanks guys maybe I will rent some of the seasons this week.
How many seasons deep is that show right now? (whats the current season number playing on Fox)
Thanks again

My bad. You're correct.

Wow so each season is only a day long!?

This is the 7th season.

Each episode 1 hour but take out commercial and the viewing time is little less.

Actually, you can start without knowing what happened before.

You can start at any episode, as they give a short summary of what happened recently.
But I would suggest watching from the start of the season.

You can buy old seasons or "find" previous episodes of current season.

I would seriously consider starting from the beginning tho. Because so much of what happens early on is key to the characters and relationships. So if you have time I would start at the beginning.

After this friday 24 will be the best show on tv in my opinion since SciFi's Battlestar Galactica series is ending this friday.

And there was a Dell Hackintosh on the show last night.

The senator's home office had a Dell (huge logo...) on the desk, but every time you see the screen - it's OS X! :)

Thats REALLY gotta piss off some people at Dell / Microsoft! :D

that was a Dell monitor using a Mac Pro.;)

Dell and Apple are two of the "sponsors". Special thanks is given to them at the end.

True. Must have been a screen shot. I would love to know how to get security cams in iphoto. (That was fake too)

You guys must be new to the show or something. 24 has had many Apple and Dell product placements through it's career. This isn't really anything new and should probably go in the "celebrities that use Apple" thread in the other forum.

It's on season 7 for who asked. Season 1-3 was amazing. After that it got a bit repetitive. Still good, just a little of the same plot ideas over and over.
