iPod touch so the 2g touch has bluetooth?

Does the 3.0 firmware news mean it has bluetooth capabilities? It wasn't clear if the bluetooth stuff was for the 2g touch as well.

Saw this on the home page "Apple also revealed that Bluetooth support can be activated in the 2nd generation iPod Touches"

I guess its finally time to replace my 1st gen iPod Touch or maybe wait a lil longer till september for the 3rd gen...hmmmm

Yes, that is the original speculation as to run the Nike+ you only need the sensor, and not the receiver unit used as well on the Nanos...

Yes, and I've know since it came out that they would eventually charge us another $9.95 to activate it for stereo headphones.

It's always had restricted bluetooth in the Nike+ chip. 😉
