Screensaver bypass code? Bug?

I have a MacBook I usually bring to work. My co-workers and michevious and always try to change my background, etc.

I leave on my screensaver password. I close the lid to my laptop to initiate the password protect.

So last night I came back from lunch, open up my MacBook and my co-worker comes next to me, it seems like she put a code, and then unlocked my MacBook.

It's either 1.) She know's my password or 2.) there's a bypass code because she typed something and it unlocked.

Anyone know how to hack it?

There is no bypass code.

FYI, using 'password''pass' '[space]' 'qwerty' etc. are not reslly secure.

If you don't use a secure password, it's fairly easy to get it via brute force.

I'd hate to be working at a company where this is tolerated. Why does the company let them do it? Use a secure password or a fingerprint scanner.

my password is not weak

it's all alphanumeric though.

I tested her skills and i have iAlert and set it. She initiated the lock, but still bypassed my password!

How is she doing this???

Either by guessing, or a keylogger. The only way to unlock the screen is the enter the correct password. There is no backdoor or bypass password.

There are other methods, too, but I won't discuss them, as they are quite complicated (e.g. cracking password hashes and cold boot attacks.)

If your Mac is set to automatically login when started up, she could have just cut the power and rebooted.

Those letters in triangular brackets are from keys like control and option being pressed.

So did you set up the keylogger, and then afterward they used your computer?

I actually found out they "spied" on my and saw my password.

HOWEVER.

I changed my password and the could not get in at all, BUT the restarted my computer and was able to bypass the damn password screen!

Go to System Preferences > Accounts > Login Options > and disable automatic login.
