No Skype In Canada, if I JB, can I download the app???

but I haven't JB my phone for many reasons, but now that skype isn't allowed in Canada, I'm really wanna do it..

anyone know?

Skype said it's a legal/licensing issue:

There is a vague restriction in one of the standards-based technology licences and Skype is looking into it.

The issue is not related to Apple, nor is it specific to Skype.

I actually think it may have to do with Canadian enhanced 911 requirements for VOIP phones which skype doesn't meet.

JB has nothing to do with your itunes account...

I have Jailbreaked my phone and while it adds more options for applications it will not give you access to skype.. people have posted solutions that work very well.

You can also get other apps in the same way - Amazon mobile, for instance.
