I plan on purchasing an iMac soon and I was wondering if apple stores carry a config with the gtx 680mx
or if i had to order online to get it .

I got mine instore but they only do the one model which also has the i7 and 1TB fusion drive

give your Apple Store a call , chances are they will have it. The Westfield Mall Store in Paramus NJ had a few of them .
