free ram

I've got verry litle apps running but my amount off free ram aint that big , is this normal? I have 2 gb in total. also , is there a way to close that windows app running in the background? i dont even know what it does. thanks!!

What Windows app? You mean the WindowServer? That's got nothing to do with (Microsoft) Windows. What it does do is make every window on your screen appear and work so leave it alone!

That is perfectly normal for 2 GB of ram.

Also, try switching to Camino or Firefox if you want to see those RAM numbers come down.
